After several years of training in Urban Dance and Hip Hop, Edmonton, Canada native Alexander Chung kicked off his choreography career by creating routines for his school’s dance company. From there, he went on to choreograph for esteemed performers such as the Backstreet Boys, Becky G, Calvin Harris, and Nicki Minaj. Since 2013, Alexander has led his own dance company, NXG Company, to several victories in international competitions including: 1st Place Champions at World of Dance Los Angeles (2015), 1st Place Champions at Canadian Hip Hop Championships in Montreal (2014), and 1st Place Champions at World of Dance Hawaii (2013). Today, Alexander is widely known as not only a dancer and choreographer, but as a studio owner with a heavy focus on proper guidance and instruction. As lead instructor at his Edmonton studio, Kore Dance Studio, he has refined both his unique choreographic voice and instruction techniques that speak compellingly to expert level and beginning level students alike.
