Chris Martin’s first memories of dancing are his family’s “kitchen dance parties” at his childhood home in Boulder, Colorado. When he was 8, he started taking Breakin’ classes at a local dance studio. He also learned foundational styles at Dance West, Motion Underground, City Dance, and Street Side Studios. After high school, Chris moved to Norway for 6 months to teach and train with dancers from all over the west coast. Afterwards, he moved to San Diego and joined Choreo Cookies. Chris continues to teach all over the world, while pursuing projects like Project Home (with another EmpireDance Studio choreographer, Larkin Poynton) a platform for dancers to sustain themselves while maintaining the integrity of their craft.
