Dancer, choreographer, teacher, actress/model, (and new mommy!) Ellen Kim began her career in her hometown of San Francisco, CA. At 8 years old, she grew obsessed with copying dance moves from music videos. She later joined Future Shock San Franscisco (after trying out 4 times), then later Culture Shock, then Funkanometry SF, and eventually moved to LA when at 20 years old with best friend Shaun Evaristo. Ellen got her first international teaching job in 2008 in Norway. This jumpstarted her role as a traveling instructor she’s taught and mentored in Australia, Germany, the U.K., France, Costa Rica, South Korea, Russia, on top of LA’s major studios such as Movement Lifestyle, Debbie Reynolds, and Millennium Dance Complex. Her professional resume also includes touring with recording artists like Snoop Dogg, Christina Milian, Amerie, and LL Cool J, working with high profile celebrities (Ellen Degeneres, Beyonce, Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, Pharrell Williams), choreographing for commercials, movies, and music videos all over the world, and being awarded “Best Female Choreographer” in 2013 by World of Dance.
