Dancer, choreographer, and TikToker Sheela Awe began her dance career in Shanghai, China while training and teaching at both Dragon Dance Studio and Jazz Du Funk. During college, she minored in dance focusing on Ballet, Modern, and Jazz.
After several years of training, Sheela moved to Los Angeles in 2012 in search of more dance opportunities. She went on to join Try.be and Nailcuttahz (where fellow EmpireDance instructor, Baiba Klints, dances as well)!
Over the course of her time in LA, Sheela has worked with artists such as Pharell, Anderson Paak, Remy Ma, and T.I, while also maintaining a strong presence as a TikTok creator.
She is currently focused on teaching moves to the new generation of dancers, and creating shareable content surrounding not just dance, but fashion, lifestyle, and pop culture.
